The original series found them living incognito in the midst of humans in Manhattan, in what they call Fabletown, which makes Fables a perfect urban fantasy story. Bigby Wolf, Snow White, Rose Red, Pinocchio, and many others have been driven out of their enchanted world by a mysterious villain known as the Adversary, who is later revealed to be Geppetto. Praised by fans and critics for its powerful storytelling and compelling visuals, Fables tells the stories of the characters from the most famous fairytales (called Fables), but in a modern setting.
