![]() I have yet to come across a situation where one of these hasn’t fix the issue. Those are the ways I know to fix the left mouse button not working in Windows 10. Allow both processes to complete and then reboot. Then type ‘Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth’ and hit Enter. In the same CMD window as above, type ‘Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup’ and hit Enter. If you see a message that says ‘Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.’ then you will need to manually fix the issue. This is okay too as it shows Windows is working (mostly) okay. With any luck, you will see a message that says ‘Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.’ You may see ‘Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations’. If the scan finds any issues, it will automatically repair them. ![]() The scan may take a while but will look after itself. Finally, when the black box appears, type ‘sfc /scannow’ and hit Enter. Type ‘cmd’ into the box and check the box to create the task with administrative privileges. Right click the Windows Task bar and select Task Manager. The SFC checks all Windows files and makes any repairs if it finds issues. ![]() It is a self-contained test that is run from the command line. If it is not and you are just supposed to use it, then you can format it through disk utility in OS X, if it connects through USB, choose exFAT.Performing a System File Check (SFC) scan can help detect any issues with Windows that could be causing your left mouse button to not work. I would not do anything if the drive is supposed ot have data on it. Just incase you need an answer immediately and i don't answer. I want us to establish whether or not data is on the drive before we proceed any further. But if you were given this drive to pull and use some data off of it, then something is likely wrong with the drive, I say this because you couldn't read it in Windows or Mac. Do you know for sure that data is on that drive?įor instance, if you were just given this drive to use, maybe its not formatted. it will have a mount point and a format, what do those say? If it does not, then I'd guess the drive is not formatted. Do you have a slightly indented portion of the same drive right below it? If so. ![]() In the left column the very left most (non indented) part is the drive itself. Ok, well at least that part is a good sign. ![]()
